Cara grew up surrounded by the mountains in Logan, Utah, where her mother taught her a love of music and her father taught her a love for nature. At 16, her family moved to Boise, Idaho, and it was there in the City of Trees that she found the gospel. She later attended BYU-Idaho, where she pursued nursing studies and fell in love with Greg Reed, a tall farm boy from Ririe, Idaho. Together they’ve built a full life in the Texas Hill Country, raising five incredible kids. Cara also runs a small home bakery and enjoys caring for her ever-growing gaggle of chickens.

More recently, Cara has had her eyes opened to the power of reckless hope and has become passionate about sharing this life-changing virtue. She believes it has the ability to both heal and inspire, making the world a brighter place for everyone. She loves that the Come Back Podcast is a proponent of the transformative hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and is honored to be part of something that helps others discover light in their own journeys.
